5 Burro Cafe - Restaurant Review
I know I can't be the only one who looks up places to eat before heading out! Or even asking friends about their recommendations.
5 Burro Cafe was introduced to me years ago, and when I say this is one of my favorite places to eat, I truly mean that! I can't even count the amount of times I've come back, always guaranteed to be satisfied when I'm leaving.
Located on Austin Street in Forest Hills, NY, it's super convenient to get to with all the transportation in the area. And if you're looking for amazing Mexican food, this is the place to come to!
The restaurant itself is small and cozy, with the interior walls covered with various pictures, art work, and random fun items to really set a casual and enjoyable atmosphere whether you're there with friends or on a date! There's always music playing and also a fully stocked bar if you're interested in getting a drink or two, which I highly recommend.
Their drink menu ranges from cocktails to margaritas, beers and shots, too, if you're there to party! And with the staff being extremely friendly and helpful, if you're unsure, just ask for what they'd recommend.
My favorite drinks have to be their extensive flavors in margaritas and the pina colada. They also have their own speciality drinks with fun names and even more exciting colors. Whatever drink you order, whether virgin or not, it's worth a try.
And if you thought their drinks are great, the food is even more incredible! They cater to a Mexican cuisine, very authentic and made to order. Everything from their meats to seafood is perfectly seasoned and cooked, served with some great sides.
My favorite meal to order has to be the Three Enchiladas Del Norte -- chicken enchiladas prepared in a mole sauce. And the sides are everything you need to complete your meal -- Spanish yellow rice, refried beans, sour cream, guacamole & a fresh pico de gallo.
So if you're ever in the area, or even looking for a new place to try out, definitely check out 5 Burro Cafe for a fun Mexican experience!
