Self Care Sunday - Affirmations

Happy Sunday babes!! Sending so much love and positivity your way on this beautiful Sunday.


A huge part of my Sunday has been incorporating affirmations into my routine. I started doing this more recently, and try to continue with it as part of a daily routine, too! But I’ve found so many benefits from saying affirmations either out loud, in my mind, or writing them down on paper.


I’m a huge believer of channeling the feelings and emotional balance that you want to achieve. And once you’re able to acquire that balance, then channeling the goals and aspirations you want to achieve as well! As we all know, it all begins with the right mindset.


Daily affirmations have helped me through more difficult times in my life. Whether it’s something physical or emotional that I’m facing, I’ve always found it calming to say something positive and think more optimistically. I’m truly a believer of any person owning their mental and emotional state. You do not have to be stuck in a place where you don’t want to be. You have total control of your life and outlook on situations. And if you truly believe and have faith in something, you can overcome that obstacle and meet your goals.

WHY AFFIRMATIONS MAY BENEFIT YOU

For those that didn’t know, reciting or thinking daily affirmations is also a way to reprogram your mind. And while we tend to see this more clearly in negative situations or toxic relationships, affirmations can be positive as well. You are encouraging yourself to think a certain way or believe and provide you that inner push to achieve something you truly desire. By believing you can achieve something, you are creating that reality for yourself and setting goals that you can meet.


So when you feel like you’re struggling, or even if you have a certain goal you aspire to achieve, stop and take a second to speak to your mind. Say something encouraging, something enlightening, something successful. This way you’re calming your nerves, reevaluating a obstacle, or finding some inner peace, calm and positivity in that moment.

I feed my spirit. I train my body. I focus my mind. It's my time.

I am in charge of how I feel and today I am choosing happiness.

I will not compare myself to strangers on the internet.

I have the power to create the change I want.

I am enough.
